AL Spring News 3/9/2011

AL EAST

It's a new season and one team has clearly done there work this off-season. Boston loaded up on Power, Speed and Bullpen. On paper they are incomparable to any team in the league, but in order for them to have success they'll need rebound years for last years one two punch of Josh Beckett and John Lackey. Both struggled in 2010 and both look great this spring. For Bostons sake, if they don't rebound, they may have enough fire power at the plate to bale them out.

AL CENTRAL

Not much has changed in Minnesota over this past off season, but they are healthy entirely this spring. With key absences of Justin Morneau and Joe Nathan back in full swing this spring, Minnesota has a definite chance to win the division if they all stay healthy.

AL WEST

After a disappointing end of their 2010 season, the Texas Rangers are sticking with the majority of guys they had last season. With the addition of Adrian Beltre they got better at the plate but Beltre is know for his inaccurate arm and lack of effort at times. They missed signing Ace Cliff Lee and gave up on the off season. It will take a team effort to get them back to the show but anything can happen.

The date is 3/12/11 and today marks the first start for the newly acquired all-star first baseman Adrian Gonzalez of the Boston Red Sox. Went 1 for 2 with a sac fly RBI. First pitch was a rope into left feild....hopefully this is a sign of things to come. Very Happy Hows everyone else's team looking this season?
